New proposed changes to the By-Laws

 

The By-law committee and the Board have approved the following suggested changes to the DBC By-laws: This will require a 2/3 vote in the January 2016 meeting to be added to our By-Laws

Old section

Section 19 – Spending Authority 

Any club related expenditures in excess of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) will require majority approval of the Board.  Any non-reimbursed expenditure of Club funds, exceeding Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), on any one project, shall not be made without prior approval by a majority vote of the General Membership at a General Meeting, except in an emergency (defined as a situation demanding immediate attention).

New proposed changes to the By-Laws: changes in Bold Text below:

Section 19 – Spending Authority 

Any club related expenditures in excess of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) will require majority approval of the Board.  Any non-reimbursed expenditure of Club funds, exceeding Seven Hundred and Fifty ($750.00), on any one project shall not be made without prior approval by a majority vote of the General membership at a General Meeting, except in an emergence (defined as a situation demanding immediate attention).

This will be presented at the November meeting of the club, so that the membership has time to discuss the merits of this proposal.  This Proposal will voted on at January Meeting, per our By-Laws.
