ABOUT US

Dunedin Boat Club has been a fixture on Florida's west coast since 1929, one of the oldest sailing clubs in the state. Today we're home to more than 350 members, from sailors and powerboaters to boating enthusiasts who don't yet own a boat, all sharing one thing in common: a love of being on the water.

Our clubhouse, once located on the west side of the Dunedin City Marina, was destroyed by hurricanes in 2024, and we're now raising funds to rebuild on that same site. Our charter is simple: encourage and promote safe boating, sailing, and yachting; foster fellowship among our members through boating and social activities; and support the protection of the environment we boat in. We're active in the local community and support numerous civic organizations, and we're proud of our long-standing partnership with the City of Dunedin.

Dunedin Boat Club is a non-profit 501(c)(7) organization. Download our bylaws to see how we're governed. For meeting days, times, and locations, visit our Meetings page. Membership meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month at the Scottish American Society of Dunedin, and Board meetings the first Monday of each month

PLEASE NOTE:  Dunedin Boat Club is a boating-related social organization of boat owners and boating enthusiasts. We are NOT a boat rental or boat-sharing organization.

Traditions

Traditions are a cornerstone of our Club.  Over our 90+ year history, many things have changed, but many traditions have remained the same:

  • We stick to our charter to promote safe boating, foster fellowship, and protect the environment
  • We continue to enjoy a strong partnership with the City of Dunedin
  • We recite The Pledge Of Allegiance at the beginning of our membership meetings
  • We offer a prayer/time of quiet reflection at the beginning of our membership meetings
  • We support the local community where we live
  • We go boating!
  • We have fun!
