SAFETY FIRST AND FUN WILL FOLLOW!!!

• • Get your water squirting devices and join the raucous crowd searching for the Captain's Laundry!
  • Decorate your boat, dress like a pirate, and come out for a rowdy day!!
  • One hour prior to the race there will be water fights while kayaking and paddling, until all are throughly soaked.
  • Once the race begins, one needs to keep an eye out fo the Captain's Laundry.
  • There will be 7 items of his laundry on floats along the course.
  • Whoever completes the course and has the most laundry will be deemed the winner!
  • NO WATER BALLOONS OF ANY TYPE ALLOWED!!!
• Date / Time:  Saturday,  June 18, 2022 / 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Attendees:  DBC Members and Invited Guests (limited to 2 guests per adult member)
• Participant Boat Types:  
• • Kayaks
  • Standup Paddleboards
  • Any vessel meant to be paddled
• Tide:  +2.8 ft. at 3:35 PM
• Schedule of Events:  
• • 11:00 AM - Checkin on the West porch and parade of costumes
  • 12:00 PM - Warm up, raucous water blasting. Bombard your competitors with water, show off your costumes and have some fun!!
  • 1:00 PM - Race Start
  • 4:00 PM - Race Ends (time limit)
  • 4:00 PM - Post race pot luck dishes, soda, beer, etc. and Awards.
• Awards:  Awards for best pirate, best boat, race winner, and anything we think deserves an award!
• Registration:  Online registration is required.  Members are expected to register by clicking on the blue "Register" button on this page.

    • Should you have a problem registering online, please print and sign a copy of this form and bring it to the check-in on the morning of the race.

• What to Bring:  Bring a dish to share for the awards party.  DBC will provide beer, wine, water, and sodas.
• Protect Our Environment:  NO water balloons allowed (not even bio-degradable balloons, as they take 4 years to de-grade)
