Kayaking:  Caladesi Island

Launch from Dunedin Causeway, next to Sail Honeymoon Kayak Rentals at 61 Causeway Blvd.

We’ll paddle across the bay and through the Caladesi mangroves. Afterwards, depending on weather, time and how much information I can find, we may paddle south to the remains of the Scharrer homestead, an additional 3 mile loop.  The other option will be to paddle along the island and stop at one of the small Caladesi beaches.  Either way, it will be a pleasant day of paddling!

This paddle will take 2 - 4 hours. Please bring any snacks and drinks you may need.
