Help build this year’s Mardi Gras float!

Our theme this year is "The Wizard of Odd." 

We’ll put our own twist on this classic story.

The float will include an amazing Emerald Castle along with the Land of the East where the Munchkins and Lollipop Kids live. Dorothy and Toto, the Scarecrow, Tin Man and the Lion will be there along with Flying Monkeys, Munchkins and Glenda, the good witch!

There will be work sessions every weekend ahead of the parade on Sat., Feb. 10. You don't need to sign up, just show up.

Work Session #4

The work plan includes:

• Constructing the drawbridges for the Emerald castle and Witch's castle.
  
• Continuing construction on the yellow brick road.
  
• Painting and assembling the poppies, hollyhocks, bamboo stems and PVC leaves; attaching lollipops to bamboo poles.
  
• Painting Dorothy's house and adding waxed paper window panes.
  
• Other tasks as needed.

• Date & Time: Saturday, Jan.27, 10:00am – 1:00pm.
• Attendees: DBC members and prospective members.  (For prospective members, this is a great way to fulfill your "Good of the Club" membership requirement.)
• Address: 958 Douglas Ave, Dunedin, FL 34698 
• Location: The float is located in the open lot behind the "Institute for Creative Arts,” (part of DFAC), on Douglas Ave., just south of Skinner Blvd. and diagonally across from the Dunedin Woodwright Brewery.
• Parking: Parking in the lot is very limited. It is better to park in front of the building or in the City parking garage, located just to the south. Feel free to drop off any tools and supplies before parking elsewhere.
• What to Bring:  Saw horses, jigsaw and blades, staple gun and staples, drills and star bits, hand tools, heat guns, paint brushes and rags. Don't forget drinks, snacks, sunscreen, work gloves, and a desire to have fun with other DBC members.
