Help build this year’s Mardi Gras float!

Our float this year is a Viking longboat.

You don't need to sign up, just show up.

Work Session #5, weather permitting.

The work plan details:

• Group #1
• • Continue construction of the aft section of the boat.
  • Begin building the center brace for the mast.
  • Plan for adding angled oar holes on the coroplast side panels. 
• Group #2
• • Wrap rope to secure paddles to oars.
  • Paint white tips on wave sections.
  • Snap chalk lines on boat sides to paint "board" details.

What to bring:

• Unwanted cans of spray paint (dark colors).
• Power tools, jigsaws and circular saws. 
• Sturdy scissors and pencils.
• Brushes and gloves for painting.
• Saw horses and ladders.
• Don't forget drinks, snacks, sunscreen, work gloves, and a desire to have fun with other DBC members.
