This will be an easy and scenic 3 - 3.5 hour paddle.  Please bring lunch as we may be able to eat at a lovely spring that we'll paddle to. I've seen manatees and dolphin several times in this area.

Park at the Chassahowitzka River Campground. The parking fee is $5. The launch spot is at the parking lot. 

You can rent kayaks and should call for need a reservation.  For info call (352) 382-2200.

Be in the water and ready to paddle at 10:30 AM.

Directions: US 19 north (about 50 miles), left on W Miss Maggie Dr.  Follow Miss Maggie Dr. to the parking lot and boat ramp. There is a temporary trailer that you will need to go into to get a parking permit. 

The drive is about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
